HERITAGE PHOTO COMPETITION 2019
Oamaru Whitestone Civic Trust invites Waitaki students of school age to photograph heritage buildings, costume, items or activities related to heritage within Oamaru’s Victorian Precinct and Harbour areas.
The competition opens on 18 November and entries must be submitted by 6 December. There are three age groups, with three prizes for each age group: up to 10 years old (prize: $70), older than 10 and younger than 15 (prize: $100) and 15 and over (prize: $200). There will also be a people’s choice award for the most liked photograph on Facebook (prize: $50). Each person may submit up to three photos.
Top three photographs from each age group will be on display in Smith’s Grainstore, 9 Tyne Street. The winning photographs for each category will be announced via Facebook on Friday 13 December. All photos will be displayed on the Oamaru Whitestone Civic Trust Facebook page by 10 December.

Please send your photos to: frances@victorianoamaru.co.nz with the subject line “OWCT photo competition.” Please name each photo in this way: name of photographer, age, title of photo, e.g., JaneSmith_14_harbourboardbuilding. Give a brief description of your photo and include a family email address in your email, i.e. the email address of a parent or caregiver.
